Aurora, 2006Youth Music

Working in conjunction with the Scottish Arts Council Youth Music Initiative, a scheme established by the Scottish Executive with an aim to get more young people involved in music making, ARC has so far been at the centre of two projects for Aberdeenshire's young contemporary musicians. In both cases the bands were given tuition in creating, performing and recording original works for a compilation CD designed to help promote their work whilst giving the musicians experience in producing and marketing their work.

Trainee recording engineer Marine Rolland, a 17 year old student from College-Lycee, Lesneven, France, spends a week in the studio gaining work experience. Education

Aberdeenshire schools and adult learning programmes have been working with ARC studios for some time now. The studio has provided workshops in digital audio production for music students at Advanced Higher level, recording and marketing instruction for primary school enterprise projects and, in conjunction with Aberdeenshire Council's Media Unit, provided workshops for film score creation and production.
