The Performance Room accommodates a versatile range of acoustically bright and neutral areas, with a natural ambience ideal for the recording of acoustic instruments and voice.
The room also doubles as a Stereo / Audio 5.1 Playback Room, providing the engineer and producer with instant reference to the recorded sound in a domestic environment through all stages of production.
The Control Room blends the characteristic warmth of the Soundcraft Ghost 24 LE desk with the pure digital sound reproduction quality and expansive editing facilities of Pro Tools 002 and Soundscape Digital.
Mastering to ISRC Red Book CD, the studio features a variety of PC based MIDI and audiowave management tools including Cubase VST, Sample Tank, Symphonic Orchestra, Audio Mulch and Cool Edit Pro 2.
ARC Studio was one of the first in the UK to offer 5.1 Surround recording and playback facilities. Producer Gavin Sutherland and audio engineer James Hunter discussed ARC studio and the potential of 5.1 with Sound on Sound Magazine in March, 2002.
